HexPay - Secure Payments Android App

HexPay is a mobile app designed to combat fraud in digital/peer-to-peer UPI payments, specifically targeting fake payment screen apps. It was created for the Manipal Hackathon 2020, where it secured 3rd place out of 150+ participating teams. The app was developed using Flutter for the front-end and Django with Django-Rest Framework for the back-end.

HexPay enhances security, simplifies transactions, and builds trust in digital payments, promoting safer and more efficient UPI transactions, contributing to a cashless economy. The app features:

• Automated Payment Announcements & QR Code Validation: Every valid transaction triggers an automatic payment announcement with the customer’s name and payment amount, along with a QR code for merchants to verify payments in real-time.
• UNDO Button & Credit Options: Allows merchants to undo accidental double payments and offer credit based on customer history, with customizable credit limits and durations.
• Analytics: Provides insights into transaction patterns, sales trends, and customer behavior, empowering merchants with data-driven decisions.
